VrikshaMitra is a grassroots non-profit committed to restoring India’s green cover, one tree at a time. Founded in 2018, we work alongside local communities, schools, and corporate partners to plant native trees, revive degraded lands, and spread environmental awareness.
Our name, meaning “Friend of Trees” in Sanskrit, reflects our deep belief that every individual can become a guardian of nature.
To plant native trees, restore degraded ecosystems, and empower communities through environmental education — creating lasting ecological impact across India.
A world where every community thrives in harmony with nature, where forests flourish, biodiversity is preserved, and future generations inherit a greener planet.
Transparency, community empowerment, ecological integrity, and inclusivity. We believe sustainability is a shared responsibility — and every tree counts.
